Athletic Data

All performance data — marks, athletes, dates, venues, wind readings — is compiled from public records, with the vast majority sourced from the World Athletics all-time top lists (worldathletics.org). World Athletics is the international governing body for the sport and the authoritative source for record ratification and historical data.

Any errors in the data presented on this Site are the fault of its maintainer, not of World Athletics or any other source.

Video Footage

World record and historic performance footage is linked to via YouTube. We do not host video content ourselves. Enormous credit goes to the broadcasters, federations, fans, and archivists who have uploaded and preserved this footage — without them, much of the sport’s visual history would be lost to private archives.

Country Flags

Flag images are served by flagcdn.com, a free flag CDN that covers every country and territory we need.

Typography

Both typefaces are served via Google Fonts and are released under the SIL Open Font License.

Infrastructure

Technology

AllTime Athletics is a hand-crafted site built with plain HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. No frameworks, no build step, no trackers. It’s a small tribute to the idea that the web can still be simple.

A Personal Note

This Site is a non-commercial labor of love, built and maintained by a single person in spare hours. It exists because the sport of track and field is the purest expression of human physical capability, and because the greatest performances in its history deserve a clean, honest place on the internet.

Thanks for visiting. If the Site gave you a new favorite race to watch, or settled an old argument about who really belongs in the all-time top ten, it’s done its job.
