Our Commitment
AllTime Athletics is committed to making the Site usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or assistive technology. We believe the stories of the greatest performances in athletics should be accessible to every fan of the sport.
Conformance Target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for digital accessibility. WCAG 2.1 is developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is the reference standard used by most accessibility laws and regulations worldwide.
At this time, the Site has not undergone a formal third-party accessibility audit. We consider the Site partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: some known issues remain, which we are working to address.
What We’ve Done
The Site has been built with accessibility in mind from the start:
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate headings, landmarks, and labels.
- High-contrast color combinations throughout the dark editorial theme.
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements (category and event pills, gender toggle, video play buttons).
- Descriptive page titles and meta information.
- Responsive layout that scales from desktop to mobile without loss of functionality.
- Video content links out to YouTube, where platform-provided captions and accessibility features are available on many videos.
Known Limitations
We are aware of areas where the Site does not yet fully meet our accessibility goals:
- Mobile responsive layout — certain table columns hide on narrow viewports; the relationship between data cells and their headers may not always be clearly announced by screen readers. A review of the mobile layout is planned.
- Video captions — we link to YouTube videos rather than hosting our own, so caption availability depends on each individual video. We cannot guarantee captions for all footage.
- Image alt text — hero photographs and flag images have alt attributes, but these could be richer and more descriptive in places.
- Color as information — category themes use color as a primary signal (e.g., red for sprints, blue for middle distance). Text labels accompany these colors, but users who rely heavily on color cues should be aware of the theming system.
We are working to close these gaps as part of ongoing development.
Third-Party Content
The Site embeds and links to third-party content (YouTube videos, flag images, fonts). The accessibility of that content is determined by the third party and may not meet the same standards as the rest of the Site. We try to select third-party services that take accessibility seriously.
Feedback
Accessibility feedback is genuinely welcome and helps us improve. If you experience any barrier using the Site, or have a suggestion for making something easier to use, please let us know:
Email: contact@alltimeathletics.com
When reporting an issue, it helps us to know:
- The page or feature you were trying to use
- The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using (if any)
- What you expected to happen and what actually happened
We will do our best to respond in a reasonable timeframe and to fix issues we can address.
